Florida Trip - January 2008

Wanna see some of the "documentation" from the Florida trip? Here's a few pix and links to get you going.

Disney PhotoPass

These are the pictures shot by the Disney folks during our parade through the Magic Kingdom. Photo viewing is free; there are charges to order prints. Make your choices soon; the album disappears thirty days after the event!

To view the album, you'll need to get a special "invitation" from me (the Disney guys are careful about privacy). I think I've already mailed one to everybody who went on the trip; if you need an invitation, drop email to    steve AT tolopka.com (replace AT with the "at sign").

Disney News Photos

The Disney folks sent me these two pix for use with newspapers and news websites. Here's a peek (click a photo to enlarge):

Another Disney shot:

Gasparilla Parade

Here's my favorite so far from Tampa; if you were paying attention, you saw it on the front page. This one comes from MyFoxTampaBay.com thanks to sharp-eyed spotter Patti Waitmann-Ingebretsen:

One more that Patti spotted (hmm, wonder why she liked this one ... <grin>)

Some of you got tickets for the Chevy Photo Passes, giving us access to photos that were taken of the band. I didn't realize that each number accessed only ONE photo of the band (sheesh!). So ... here's the one picture that I could access from the coupon I kept, plus one that the Adamsons passed along.. If you got a coupon and found a good picture, grab a copy and pass it along! Again, click to enlarge

Several folks sent me this picture of Mike Carpenter. There's something about the spectacle of a mouse-eared pirate in beads playing a trumpet that's apparently photogenic!

I haven't waded through 'em all, but there are over 600 photos of the parade in this album: http://snap.tbo.com/pages/gallery.php?gallery=322400

Here's a few from Tom Higham:

Video

Someone on YouTube posted a nice video of the band doing Wooly Bully, starring Bill Comeau. It does a fine job of hinting at the lunacy of the event! You can view it via the YouTube link, or download using the thumbnail below.

And to round things out, here's another video that gives you a peek at how OTHER tubas handle the Gasparilla craziness. Click the link below, then click on the picture of the tuba at upper left:  http://gasparillavideo.tbo.videos.vmixcore.com/video/
